Problem with installation of Debian
I have problem with installation of Debian with kernel 2.6 (the latest sarge version). I have internet installation. But the installer cannot identify my integrated net adapter (i have internet connection trough it), so I can't continue with installation. Driver for my net adapter (broadcom nextreme gigabit ethernet (5788)) isn't in the list of drivers whitch the installer contains. I download the driver from homepage of Broadcom, but the installer didn't take it. It may be because the driver from Broadcom was tested only on kernel 2.4.22.
BTW: I can't use older version, because I have SATA HDD |
Just get yourself a cheap Realtek based netcard.
