problem with audio encoder using kaudiocreator cd ripper

Hi All,

I tried to rip my new Springstein album (yeh I'm that old) and encode it as mp3 so that I can play it on the mp3 player (sounds as if I know what I'm talking about...).

All went well with the rippy thingy bit but then it all fell apart with some message that the encoder wasn't available. Is there a Debian package I should install?

There is a package called 'lame' for that. --Japser.

Thanks for this info - I downloaded it and it seemed to work, but now I can't find where the mp3 encoded data is stored by kaudiocreator - any Ideas? I looked in the obvious menus like settings/ configure etc but can't find the save location!

I am not using that program.
But, you can do in a terminal:

find -name *.mp3

--Japser.
