Question Problem of compiling ipw3845 module

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello:
I am trying to compile the module for my ipw3945 wireless card in my X60 box but failed.
My system is debian testing.
I used the lastest offical kernel in testing, that is 2.6.17-2-686.
Here are my steps:
1) I downloaded the ipw3945-1.0.0 tarball from sourceforge.
2) Following the INSTALL file, i apt-get installed the ieee80211 module for 2.6.17-2 as well as all supporting debs such as head files etc.

3) After that i switch to unstable(not upgrade, just to get the ipw3945 firmware package) and installed it. (back to testing after that)

4) complied ipw3945 module.
No errors.
But when i tried ./load, it told me that ipw3945.ko can not be inserted!

insmod: error inserting 'ipw3945.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module

I have tried to insert it manually but still failed.
The ipw3945d is working.

Anyone tell me how to solve the problem ?

Thanks

Deng Pan
