i used the instruction given here

to install kernel 2.6, near the end of the page author says
"We are almost finished now. Edit the image=/vmlinuz stanza of your /etc/lilo.conf and add the line initrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.6.8.1: "
while booting i see that my laptop uses grub bootloader and not lilo, so how
this should be changed for my laptop, and i tried to find /etc/lilo.conf
,its not there, should i edit /etc/grub.conf ? but even that' s not there.
