Printing with Gnome Apps not working

Hi there!

I'm running Debian Lenny and I'm having a rather weired problem with printing under gnome. I configured my printer with the standard gnome tool but when trying to print a test page - no matter if root or not - nothing will happen, nor with any other gnome app like AbiWord for example. Clicking on the little printer icon near the clock says:
Code:
stopped:job-stopped
I then started "kcontrol" trying to print the test page from there and that worked...

This is the output of /var/log/cups/error_log:

Code:

By the way, it's a HP PhotoSmart D6100 connected via network, port 9100.
So, printing with KDE works but not with Gnome...?
Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

When I set up my printer... I had to go into the settings and specify a DPI resolution. It's set to decide automatically... but I guess gnome doesn't do that.

It worked for me and I have an HP Photosmart 7660

Same problem here with Debian Lenny (Gnome) and HP Color LaserJet 2600n (network printer over port 9100). Unfortunatelly the resolution setting is not accessible in the Gnome printer properties, where should I cange the resolution value?

In the printer thing select your printer, options, the second tab (printout mode), and change that. it might work...
