Ah. Thanks Col. Panic.

After poking around the directories, it seems that the name listed after the URL (the so-called "distribution") is indeed implemented as a simple directory (though, it happens to always be just underneath a "dists" directory). Within *that* directory are the so-called "sections" -- which are, again, implemented as directories.

Can't seem to find a working repo for evolution 2.4.1 or highter.
I am using kanotix and ubuntu repo's don't work for it.
I have tried almost all the repos reported in this thread !!!

@coyopil

None of your repos have evolution 2.4.1 ..
what's the big deal, I don't know .. only ubuntu claims to have it, no one debian distro has anything higher than 2.2.3 .. ubuntu is gnome based and kantoix is kde .. you have to install everything from ubuntu repos .. and they are somewhat proprietary and I don't want to end up hosing this install goodly if I go the gnome way.

This repository does not contain the amuleweb package, which I would really like to add as well. Are there any other repositories for amule?

I have all the usual but also

deb file:/var/local/ debs/

Where I store anything done localy (like java and kernels) and various downloaded stuff that is available in deb format, its also available as a link from /var/www for the rest of the network.

Don't know if anyone else uses /var/local/debs for local debianised packages but it seemed logical to me.

Just update it with dpkg-scanpackages every time its changed (about once a week takes a second or two with about 100 debs in in). Oh yes, using Sid.

OK, sorted this now. amuleweb is not a separate package. It is part of one of the other packages (amule-console-utils) as
#apt-cache search amuleweb
shows.

I changed the addresses that the actiontec gave me in /etc/resolv.conf by running a script every 2 hours, via cron. All it did was echo the correct address(I used 4.2.2.1) into the /etc/resolv.conf. I can get the script for you later.

I recently just re-loaded Debian "Etch" on my 32 bit system however I am not sure if you guys recommend I leave, modify, or wipe my source.list. Please let me know...

If also anyone knows a repo that will update my 1.0.7 Firefox to 1.5.0.
