Angry POP3 unknown authorization command


hey guys,

i just installed the update packages available for my debian box, and after it completed, i can't check my mail it keeps asking for user name and password, if i go on my linux box and try it there it comes back "unknown authorization command"...


anyone ever have this issue, i need a fix...

Not sure what E-mail program your using but sounds like the update returned the Authentication method back to default or has changed and no longer matches the POP3 server... check your POP3 server Authentication Method and or, Encryption Method...

hi thanks for the reply,

i setup ipop on my linux box, and we use outlook 2003 to access it,,,, it's been fine until we took some updates...

fixed

well i fixed it, i rolled back the the previous version i had of ipop and ssl, i believe it was ssl not properly authenticating users,

anyways it works now,
