PCMCIA doesn't work

Hi guys-

Let me thank you in advance for all the help. My pcmcia slot doesn't seem to be working. I have cardmgr installed and pcmcia support included (/etc/init.d/pcmcia start shows that it's already
running) but when i put my wireless card in, it doesn't draw voltage nor does the system recognize it.
dmesg shows that nothing is plugged into the slot.

What to do?

***And as a side note, which options for the 2.6.4 kernel need to be compiled for wireless to work for a DWL-650+ wireless card?

I do not believe your wireless card will "draw power" unless you have the module for it installed. I BELIEVE (do not quote me on this) that your card is based on the prism2 chipset (which is a very nice card). So recompile with prism2 support and voila.

Sorry, I can't find this option...Where would it be?

And just to be sure, what options need to be checked for pcmcia to work properly?

It's not compiled in, but it is there as a module...
