Lightbulb Pause Suggestion for Apt/Synaptic.

It will be very helpful if applications such as apt, aptitude and Synaptic had a pause button to pause while downloading/upgrading. Wish the developers would consider this for the future. Comments/suggestions in this regard welcome.

Once during an apt-get upgrade I needed the bandwidth for something else in between and hit Ctrl-C to stop while the packages were still downloading. When you do apt-get upgrade again it picks of from where it was stopped.
OTOH I wouldn't necessarily do this when the packages are already being installed.

Yes. Just cancel the download half way. It will resume automatically the next time you start.

And so far I've not even got one corrupted download.
