xorg still has a couple of weird bugs, like my led light for numlock, caps lock etc dont turn on/off when hitting the keys, but they do when I use the KDE applet keyboard status.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

i dont understand - the new xorg works or doesent work with nvidia? because for now i pinned the version of xorg because it was trying to remove nvidia-glx. should i install the new xorg and install the 100.14.19 driver?

craigevil 09-21-2007 12:26 AM

works just fine with the nvidia driver, not the nvidia-glx i.e. the debian way of installing nvidia.

If you prefer to do it the proper Debian Way, I would wait. And the new xorg still has a couple of bugs.

are there any big diffrentces bitween 1.7.3 and 1.7.2 ?

craigevil 09-21-2007 08:22 PM

You see what the changes are by looking at http://packages.debian.org/changelog....3+2/changelog . The list is quite long.

adamruss 09-22-2007 08:03 AM

xorg 1.7.3 with new nividia driver give's me this messege on load:

(II) Loading sub module "ramdac"
(II) LoadModule: "ramdac"(II) Module "ramdac" already built-in

and crashes...
