Network install
Hello,
I faced with a problem. During the network installation process I chose a mirror and the installation stoped at 5% and doesn't continue after hour of waiting. How can I check installation process? ps command or log files?
Any comments are much appreciated.

you need to open alternate consoles.
if in gui mode, ctrl +alt +f keys. f1 - f7 with f7 returning you back to gui mode.
use log files to check progress.
check for the install log.
you will probably have to restart the install using a closer mirror.

Thank you centosboy! I downloaded new iso image and installed Debian from it.
ctrl +alt +f1 opens alternate consoles.
alt+f4 shows installation process the same like tail -f /var/log/syslog. alt + f5 returns back to gui mode.

I think it's network problem. Try to install basic system without Desktop environment and so on. After installation, you may reconfigure apt using the best mirror for you and install everything you need.

You didn't understand. The download was going on fine, the graphical progress bar just stayed at 3.
