Question netinstall through a wireless net card?? is it possible??

Hi all, I'm using an Edimax 7128g wireless card to connect to the internet. The card uses the Ralink open source driver. Almost all other distros I have installed recognize the card, but debian doesnt. (I use debian etch in another computer which is directly connected to the wireless router through a cable). So, I'm planning to install debian on my machine but the only way I have to access the router (and hence, the internet) is through the wireless card. I tried with the debian etch beta 3 netinstall cd but it doesn't seem to recognize my wireless card, as I mention above. So, is there a way to do a netinstall through this wireless card or will, I have to download the first cd's or the first DVD in order to install debian on this machine?? (I'm already downloading the first DVD iso, just in case, but the download will take aprox 19 hours and I'm just too impatient to wait ).

Thanks in advance.

Well, my wireless card is an internal one (PCI), so I guess I'll have to wait to the dvd download to complete.
Thanks anyway

debian network install and wireless

I have been trying to get an answer to this question for a very long time now but no one seems to have an answer.

1)I have a computer with a D-Link DWL-G510 Airplus G Wireless PCI Adapter.

2)I have 1 Debian Lenny Netinstall CD

3)I only plan on installing Fluxbox and Mythtv so, I need internet access.

question:

How can I setup wireless to work on my computer with just the Netinstall and the wireless drivers?

I have the wireless drivers b43-fwcutter and lw.

I know how to install the wireless drivers.

In case the netinstall cd recognizes your wireless card, you can do a netinstall if your wireless connection uses WEP encryption (the netinstall cd gives you an option to enter ssid and wep key, although I haven't used it). I'm not sure if you can install wireless drivers during the installation process, though.

Regards.

netinstall wireless

Yea, your right I tried this but every time I enter the ssid and the key,
I says It can't find the card.

I'm going to download debian netinstall testing and try again

Thanks
