a limitation of the report is that it only counts cases where the distro shows up in the apache header information, which they say is only in a little over 25 percent of cases. still, the number might be representative as a cross-section. imho, licensing considerations are important, and becoming more like MS in that respect is not going to benefit linux/OSS in the long-term.
