Need upgrade advice
Although I use several distros-I'm not as proficient with debian's apt as I could be. I recently installed Zen 1.2.3 Not shortly after Zen bit the dust i.e has been discontinued.
I've changed my sources.list to official testing and unstable repos but since I'm on a dialup I never do large downloads. Even if I did do a 20hour + dl I'm not sure what the result would be-would I lose the zen-ness of the distro? Would it become debian unstable? BTW I'm just thinking of upgrading the kernel but apt wants to dl 200MB to do that. Also and maybe the most tricky question-for me is could I download (from my public library's broadband access) the unstable cd's and upgrade from them instead of doing the long download(s).
I know there is apt-cdrom but never used it. Any help is appreciated.
