I have completed one of my longtime linux goals, running Debian on the XBOX. I wanted this server to do the following:

Share my Epson 785 EPX printer with my PowerBook and Dell laptops, share my Epson scanner over the network to the laptops (and be able to see the ink level through webmin and escputil), and run an FTP server to backup files.

I used the following:
SANE - for scanner sharing
SAMBA
ProFTPd
BIND
CUPS
Webmin
dhcpd
and an 80 gb HD

I had a heck of a time getting the usb connection to work correctly. If I do make any changes it will be to put the original controller ports back in and make usb connections that way.

Now to see how stable it is going to be...
