Multimedia players wont work

"testing" 2.6

Hi ,

I have few problems with the varies Video/Audio player :

1. Totem works well in my local PC but not through samba :
"There is no input plugin to handle the location of this movie"

2.Realplayer won't work at all (after "killall artsd" worked well but than stopped ):
"Cannot open the audio device. Another application may be using it."

3. Mplayer seems to be stuck , I see either black mplayer screen or "fatal error'.

ad.1 - try smbmount
ad.2 - lsof /dev/dsp (to see which process is using /dev/dsp)
ad.3 - try mplayer -vo x11 (or mplayer -vo help to see available video output drivers)
