Hi, guys
It's really awkward if there wasnt any entertainments under Debian GNU/Linux, so I tried to install MPlayer onto Debian so as to watch .rmvb videos, yet it turns out to be not that easy.
I installed MPlayer and MPlayer-plugin with Synaptic Package Manager, and then tried to open .rm files, and other .rmvb files, an error message prompted out before MPlayer plays the video, which said: Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo)device.
Is there any chance that somebody knows what it means?
Any suggestions or tips would be rather appreciated hereby.Thanx in advance

it means that the video output device couldn't be initialized. providng the FULL output would tell us a lot more about what that output is.
