mounting a floopy

Hi
I am trying to mount a floopy, in "The Linux Cookbook page 267" it says that I can do
#mount /floppy which I tried but it is asking for a type. well what type should I use? it is a floopy I just created "bootable grub floopy" and want to see what on it. thanks

fred:~# cat /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hdb1 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hdb9 /home ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdb8 /tmp ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdb5 /usr ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdb6 /var ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdb7 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdd /media/cdrom1 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0

fred:~# mount /media/floppy0/
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

fred:~#
thanks

If you created the floppy by using the dd commands then you won't be able to mount it as there is no real filesystem on the floppy just straight binaries for the BIOS to load at startup.
