Microsoft mouse ID 045e:076c


Hya,

Problem
One of my mice does not work on Penguins, but on Windouz.

Hardware
Debian jessie.

lsusb says:
ID 045e:076c Microsoft Corp. Comfort Mouse 4500

solution
turn on kernel opt, HID_MICROSOFT, under device driver, HID, HID bus

Closing remark
Stay away from Micro$oft.
Have a nice Penguin!

My lsusb says:
ID 045e:0023 Microsoft Corp. Trackball Optical

I've had it for well over a decade and I love it. Never had any issues with it.

It's just works like a standard USB mouse. The original software I had with W98 allowed me to remap the buttons.
