Hi,

I have just got a new Dell XPS15 laptop.

I have managed to install Debian6.0.4 32 bit(dual boot with Windows7 64 bit) on it with most things now working. However I cannot get either of the microphones to work (built in or external mic through the input jack). Sound output external works fine but not internal. By the way the mic and output sound works fine on Windows 7.

Spec of my machine is:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
RAM: 6Gb

I have installed alsamixer and OSS driver.

Open a mixer application and unmute the mic line?

My external mic started working.
But my internal speaker and internal mic are not working.
