MediaForte SF16 FMI

Hello
I have the above sound card. It is an ISA card with an FM radio tuner.

Using Slackware 10.1 (alsa) I was able to install the above card as Creative VIBRA 16.

I want to try Debian 3.1 R0 and I am not able to have it working.

I am new to Debian and reading the sound how-to I understand that Debian does not use ALSA but its own linux drivers.

Has anyone had success with a ISA PNP Cretive Vibra 16 using Debian? If so, how?

THanks in advance...
AS

Debian does use alsa. Just make sure you install it:
Code:
apt-get install alsa-base
Then you can then configure your soundcard using the command "alsaconf". Hope that works.
