Many video format (such as video/x-ms-asf and video/x-ms-wvx ) does not play?
cnn.com videos does not work, for example. Basically only youtube and flash ads works and many video files too (mpeg4). Otoh many DVDs don't play.
In browser 'about: plugins' says that video/x-ms-asf and video/x-ms-wvx are installed. OToh browser complains that some plugin is missing and it cannot be found

Browser is Iceape/Iceweasel. Debian ver is squeeze/sid. Everything should be up-to-date. VLC or XINE cannot play those URL/streams either.
I think I have tried everything. Could this be some proxy thingy? I used to use proxy, but no more and it still visible with 'echo $http_proxy'.
Mplayer says that "No stream found to handle stream on url http.."
Everything else works just fine, browsing, email and even some videos streams.
