Manually pacthing debian

Hello,

Ok, I'm at a new step up the learning curve. I'd like to learn how to add a patch the the kernel manually so I can better understand how the process works. The google results mostly show the automatic apt way. Can someone please give me a link to a good, solid step by step way to do this?

Many Thanks,

ab

No problem. Do your eyes automatically skip over sticky topics too?
