Question locales apt-get problem

Hi all,

I have been having one persistent problem with a package that apt-get is trying to install, namely the "locales" package. The installation terminates abruptly with an error when it gets to the Romanian locale. The error lines are:

-----------------------------------------------------
ro_RO.ISO-8859-2...LC_ADDRESS: `country_ab3' value does not match `country_num' value
dpkg: error processing locales (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
locales
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
-----------------------------------------------------

Everytime I run apt-get, it tries to install this package and it's getting very annoying. Any ideas on how to fix this error would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Thanks!

Thanks for the information! The solution given in the thread did not work for me, but pointed me in the right direction. After editing my locale.gen file not to include the romanian locale, the package installed properly. Thanks again!
