libmp3lame0 debian squeeze dependency "multiarch support"

trying to install libmp3lame0 (its a dependency for pdextended) and it is telling me that i need 'multiarch support', which squeeze doesnt have, correct?

im downloading the package from here: http://debian-multimedia.org/pool/ma...e-dmo/lame-dmo

ive tried both with the "..._i386.deb" and both have given me the same problem with gdebi. am i trying a package with a different architecture than it wants? where can i find the package with the correct arch for debian squeeze?

also, is there a way that i can force debian to install pd-extended without this package? i really dont have the desire to compress an audio file (smells funny that way).

thanks
