[SOLVED] Lexmark S305 fails to print on cups

I installed lexmark S305 following the guide from dave66, posted here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=855415, but the printer doesn't work. Every time a new job is in the queue, it fails to print.
Basically the error reported is
E [13/Mar/2010:20:33:20 +0100] [Job 2] Job stopped due to filter errors; please consult the error_log file for details.

I have Debian unstable, kernel 2.6.32-trunk-amd64 and cups 1.4.2-9.1.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

[UPDATE] parsing the error_log I found this error:
D [13/Mar/2010:20:33:31 +0100] [Job 2] Lexmark_S300-S400_Series: error while loading shared libraries: libcupsimage.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
I performed this two checks, to see if the file exists or not:
1) "ls -al /usr/lib*/libcupsimage*"
2) "ldconfig -v".
Both returned that libcupsimage.so.2 exists, so I don't have any idea why the error_log report that error.

I solved this problem. Basically it was due to missing of some 32-bit libraries (lexmark driver is for 32 bit architecture). So I just downloaded missing libraries from the related package for i386 architecture and copied them in /usr/lib32,
Note: missing libraries are: libavahi-client.so.3, libavahi-common.so.3 and libcupsimage.so.2.

I have never heard of a Lexmark printer working with Linux, and in the past I've never heard of a Lexmark service rep saying anything but "We don't support Linux", even though there were links in the past to drivers that could be used with RedHat. Thanks for that link to Ubuntu forums, I will pass it along to those who have been unfortunate enough to have purchased a Lexmark printer.
