kerneld in Debian woody
Hi folks
I'm having problems getting my head around kernel autoloading of modules. Even though I have /etc/modutils/ files configured OK, I can't get kernel modules to autoload. I recently read about kerneld and making sure it starts at boot however, I can't find kerneld anywhere on this system or three other Debian woody's I've set up. It seems to be a part of the modutils package but reinstalling that package changes nothing and web searches doesn't help much either.
The kernel currently 2.4.22 is configured for modules loading.

OK, if anyone is watching this post, I'm going to install from source the version of modutils for this kernel (2.4.22) and hopefully I will have some good news for others with the same problem down the track.
