I am using kde 3.3 and whenever I run konqueror for any length of time, it crashes. This also happens with most of my other web browsers
when searching through the filesystem, and some other trivial programs. I reinstalled kde, and when that didn't work, reinstalled debian. The crashes are still occuring though. What can I do to fix this. I am using all stable packages and settings.

When you say you reinstalled kde did you delete from your home directory .config .local .kde. This will reset kde to defaults for your account. How about logging in as a different user and seeing if the same issues happen there. If not then I would delete the above directories or it would be better to rename like this ' mv .config .config_backup '. If it does not help then I would say there are issues with your install. Latest stable release of KDE is 3.5.
I ran apt-get reinstall kde or something like that.
Also, it doesn't happen on websites, just in the filesystem.
I am using the install from the deb disk(kde 3.3).
