KDE 3.4 Released . when kde packages on ftp?
 

On March 16th 2005, the KDE Project released KDE 3.4(http://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-3.4.php)When kde debs on ft.debian.org?

when it's ready. That's the debian policy.

Still no kde 3.4 packages on debian ftp....

It will probably be postponed till Sarge is out. It would take even longer to release if 3.4 is to be included and putting it into Sid now could unwillingly force an upgrade.

You can get KDE 3.4 debian packages from http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/. Just add to your sources.list file and dist-upgrade. These packages are maintained the same people that work on the other KDE packages for Debian. I installed them on my Debian box and they seem very stable although they are technically in the experimental branch.

I think that the apps linked with 3.3 will crash.....

XMMS behaves funny with 3.4. When opening a mp3 from another virtual desktop the XMMS dialog opens in that same virtual desktop, thus you can't see it when you just switched to the desktop with the XMMS window. Next to that Kasbar acts strange.

I went back to the Sarge version which will do just fine for now.
