jessie update breaks usb connection to android phone

running jessie, today's update broke my connection to my android phone by usb. The phone is a Droid Bionic. I wanted to put some .mp3 files on the phone, but I cannot even see the device. I think it was today's update, but I may be doing something else wrong.

Also, I cannot see the phone using eclipse. I do some android programming.

You may have turned off usb-mass storage in phone settings

Thanks for the reply. Well, I looked for that. There doesn't seem to be a setting in jellybean for that on my phone. I do have it set up so that it only does app updates when the usb is connected, and so, when I connect my phone to the laptop for the purpose of mounting the sd card, the phone does do updates. Which is to say that it does recognize the cord, but it still doesn't mount the drive. Bye the way, I tried powering the phone down and then up again. I'll have to try the phone with another computer to see if it's a phone or a laptop problem. I wont be able to do that for a few days, as I am away. Any other suggestions will be welcome.

I tried installing usbmount, but it didn't work. I also tried a second de, as I was using xfce4. That didn't do it either. I looked at the videos but as I say, android 4.1.2 on my phone doesn't seem to have that particular usb option. I cannot find it anyway.

It seems to be a phone issue, not debian as I thought. I have been reading this post:

http://androidforums.com/motorola-dr...ease-help.html

I have gotten my phone's sd card to mount on my computer, but the connection seems finicky, like it's not going to last. It may be a cord problem. I'm going to mark this solved anyway.

Just a note from what I've seen on my phone (DRoid 4). My phone NEVER is available to mount in Jessie UNTIL I mount the SD card, and then the phone suddenly becomes available.
