is there a way to list all files owned by a user?

I was wondering how I might be able to search for all files owned by one user, or multiple users. I want to be able to list the location of all files owned by a user. i would also like to search based on file size or name.

what command is good for this and what arguments?

thanks for any input!

Use the find command with the -uname option to find files by owner.

Use the find command with the -size option to find files by size.

Use the find command with the -iname option to find files by name.

Use the find command with the -group option to find files by groups of users.

See:

man find
