Is there a "Backported"-Knoppix cdimage for bios failure ?

Dear Sirs,

I am encountering some troubles with my knoppix cdimage (last version of knoppix). My eth1 wifi is not detected.

I was wondering if there was a "backported"-knoppix cdimage that is backported with bios failure corrected, as for sarge it did:
http://kmuto.jp/debian/d-i/

Thank you !

Couple of questions:

Do you have a problem with your network card or your BIOS or both?

What network card - preferrably the chipset?

Why backport - what Debian refers to as backport are apps or libs that are ported back to older versions of Debian but you state that you already run the newest version of Knoppix?

Usually, wifi problems in Linux are due to driver issues -- it's usually that no native Linux driver exists, or if one does, it's buggy -- and have nothing to do with a "BIOS failure." That's why the ndiswrapper project exists.
