I solved my issue. I made a very stupid mistake and facepalmed myself accordingly.

I can not seem to download the amd64 DVD (preferably) version.
The link just hangs and searches.

Could someone please point me to a working version or tell me what I am doing wrong.
Or torrent even.

I can't get any method of acquiring Debian to work off of the main site.

From you message I don't know if you solved one problem and have another or if everything is resolved. You might consider editing out the remainder of the message if you have truly solved your problem. It would eliminate (possibly) pointless messages like the following.

I'm not sure why you're having difficulty. There are 80 zillion mirrors listed on that page and if one isn't working why not try another. On the same site you can find torrents to download here:

Just look at these pages. There's no end to ways of getting Debian. In particular, read this page:
