Installing PPD file


How do I install it

Do I need to install it. My printer is working partially I have the HPLIP installed and I can use the clean cartidges command and printer repposnds but when it comes to printing it just cancelles the job automatically for some reason. It's does it every where eg mozilla, cups web interface, HPLIP control panel.

I have used the built in kde printer manager to install the ppd but still it's responding to the cotrol pannel but not printing at all. the omnly time it will appear to print is when I align my cartidges from the control pannel

Maybe there's some package you need but haven't installed yet? cupsys-bsd? gs-esp? foomatic-db-engine? foomatic-db-hpijs? Sometimes the printer configuration can fail because Debian doesn't recognize the printer, so you need to reboot with power turned on in the printer and then do the configuration again.
