installing lilo to superblock NOT to mbr

hi

i am installing debian along side microsoft windows

but i dont want to install lilo to mbr, but on to the root partition of linux " / "

i will use a 3rd party boot loader " GAG bootloader " to boot windows and linux.

today i used the new debian installer beta version .........

i was lost how to install lilo on to the root partition ... since debian's new beta installer has some new device naming schemes ......

anyways i am downloading the woody cd's iso

i can also use it with the new installer .....

anyone got a better idea how to do it?

[ also the new installer did not give me an option to mount my fat32 partition ... which has mp3s and videos to play in linux ]

I am not familiar with the debian distribution, or what the device naming scheme is. However, when you install the linux system, it should indicate what the device is called when you create the root (/) partition. Install lilo to the same partition.

Here is an entry from my fstab. I changed the user and group name.
[CODE]
/dev/sdc5 /mnt/win_c4 vfat umask=007,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1,uid=hasan,gid=hasan 0 0
[CODE/]
I could of instead, used the [I]users[I/] option instead of a particular user or group id. Note that I used an actual user name instead of looking up the corresponding uid & gid numbers in the /etc/passwd file.

For details or more options, enter [B]info mount[B/]
Also, there may be a graphical tool which would allow you to mount your fat32 partition.
