Installer boot prompt option; how?

http://wiki.debian.org/Xfce#Install_...stem_with_Xfce
This is what I want to do. But do I have to add a double dash ("--") in front of desktop=xfce?
The reason I ask is, that I much more prefer xfce over GNOME, but if I somehow mess up this option, I will probably install GNOME again...
Please a quick response, than I'll be happily installing Debian in no-time.

I can't see a double dash on that site for this option. To make it even easier, you can choose which desktop you want to use in the advanced options menu of the bootloader, so you don't need to change boot options manually.

"Advanced options menu"...? How could I miss that? Thanks for the quick response. Now let's see if the installer works properly (I had already entered it without the double dash.)
Yeah, it did. No, double dash; and xfce installed properly.
