install kernel from Debian cd 1
 

Hi friends

I have accidently removed all the kernel images from my Debian box.

i need somehow to install a new image from Debian cd 1 to /dev/sda1

Can someone help me out ?

Are you able to use Debian? If so, you may need to add the cdrom disc in the repository list.

Here's how mine was listed but it's commented out. I don't use it.

# deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux LennyBeta2 _Lenny_ - Official Beta i386 NETINST Binary-1 20080608-11:24]/ lenny main
