install debian testing
 

hi
I download and write debian testing cds.
after detect cdrom , I see the menu about the automatic partison hard disk if i chose NO the instaler can't detect my hard disk and if i chose YES it will fdisk my hard disk .
duratoin of install i can't chose a root partition and because of this i can't install debian.
what am i doing?

You need to allow the system to create the necessary partitions. So say yes and it will pick up the free space on the drive. You will be offered a single or mutiple partition for the system. You must decide which you want. You need to allow sufficient space for a swap partition roughly equal to twice your memory.

your information is good but when I chose yes the installer divide my hard disk in to two partition one of them is ext3 and 256 mb .
after that when I chose basic install i get ERROR about root partition.
I CAN'T CHOOSE ROOT PARTITION

You should be given the option to set the size of the partition. Read the screens carefully. I know it can be confusing.
