Install Debian (Server) on VMware

Hi everyone,

my really first question.
I have decided to install Debian as OS guest on my VMware.
Im on Debian website, I am already lost with the installer to download.

Small CDs
Smaller CDs
Tiny CDs, USB sticks, etc.
Network boot

and also what are those:

amd64, armel, kfreebsd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, i386, ia64, mips, mipsel, powerpc, sparc,

THANKS for all your explanations. I am looking for the Server version of Debian..... but cannot find that either....

All are the "server version". Debian does not have separate server and desktop installers/media.

Just download CD1 of the correct architecture for your machine.
