initial startup fonts and login prompts too small to read

During start-up there are lots of lines of text displayed followed by a log-in prompt. Is there any way to make all of this text larger so it is easier to read? Even after I enter log-in and password the displayed text is too small to read comfortably. And is there a way to scroll back through these lines of text and see any that fell off the top? Perhaps a log file someplace to look at? I am new to Linux, using Raspian on a Raspberry Pi and trying to do this from a text prompt. I assume I need to edit something so what text editor do you recommend as easiest to learn.

thanks,

Can't remember how to to change the console framebuffer font - I'm sure it's easy enough in Debian however - have a loot at this thread: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...8/#post4535838

CTRL+Pg UP/Pg Dn scrolls the tty up/down.

Log files are in /var/log/ have a look through syslog, messages and the kernel logs

nano is the easiest CLI text editor to master and is good for lazy people who want to make quick edits of plain text configs.

Thanks for your quick reply. I will look at console-data.

scrolling is easier than I thought. will look at those log files and read the man file for nano (or install it if it isn't already there)
