Inactive network on preseeded install
 

This has been a challenging few days working this out.
With the help of k3lt01, I was able to get my preseed file working and setting up the system with the packages I want installed, however the network is not active when the install completes. I've edited the /etc/network/interfaces file but those changes don't survive a reboot.
Can anybody offer any suggestions on what to check/change?

If I do a manual install without the preseed file, everything is fine using the same hardware and same install usb stick.
