gpg: keyserver receive failed: bad URI
gpg: WARNING: nothing exported
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
Code:
# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.ch.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main contrib

deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main

For starters, read the gpg(1) manpages. (Why are you using the -a option with --recv-keys?)

The error message that was barfed out is explicit. The manpages have a section on --keyserver that provides a round-robin keyserver name you can use.

This is in my /etc/apt/sources.list because I find it handy;
Code:
### Public Key

### apt-get install debian-keyring debian-archive-keyring
### apt-key update

### Or

### If you get errors about missing keys, run these commands (replace KEY with key number)

### gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv KEY
### gpg --export --armor KEY | apt-key add -

Thx, but this doesn't help.

I've tried the following:
Code:
# gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv DC13E54EAB9B66FD
gpg: requesting key AB9B66FD from hkp server subkeys.pgp.net
gpgkeys: HTTP fetch error 7: couldn't connect: eof
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0
but it doesn't help:
Code:
# apt-get update
.........................................................
Fetched 191 B in 10s (18 B/s)
Reading package lists... Done
W: GPG error: http://fai-project.org squeeze Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY DC13E54EAB9B66FD

Just curious but what's wrong with using the fai packages that are in the normal Debian repo?
Code:
p fai-client - Fully Automatic Installation client package
p fai-doc - Documentation for FAI
p fai-nfsroot - Fully Automatic Installation nfsroot package
p fai-quickstart - Fully Automatic Installation quickstart package
p fai-server - Fully Automatic Installation server package
p fai-setup-storage - automatically prepare storage devices

Yep, you're right!

I don't know if this is a correct way, but I've done the following:
Code:
# gpg --keyserver hkp://keyring.debian.org --recv DC13E54EAB9B66FD
gpg: requesting key AB9B66FD from hkp server keyring.debian.org
gpg: key AB9B66FD: public key "Thomas Lange <lange@debian.org>" imported
gpg: no ultimately trusted keys found
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1

# gpg --export --armor DC13E54EAB9B66FD | sudo apt-key add -
OK
and now don't get any error messages using apt-get update.
