Iceweasel - How Do I Install Firefox Sync?

I have recently installed Debian 6.0.4 to try it out, and notice it comes with Iceweasel 3.5.16. I used to use Firefox's in-build sync to keep all my bookmarks in sync across all my machines. I have searched the add-ons but Iceweasel doesn't seem to support Firefox Sync.

I have also tried to un-install Iceweasel and use Firefox instead, but it just seems to end in disaster (I get messages like "./firefox: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory", despite libstdc++ being installed).

Can anyone please tell me:

A: How to install Firefox Sync in Iceweasel or

B: How to install Firefox without pain

Any help much appreciated.

Get a newer version of iceweasel for your branch from here
http://mozilla.debian.net/

Brilliant, thanks for that. I'm now running Iceweasel 10.0.1 and have the sync option.

I had already added the non-free and contrib repositories and ran "apt-get upgrade", but didn't realise I had to add any more.

Much appreciated.

The packages on the stable branch remain untouched for the entire life of the release, so, if you want newer features etc, you either go to testing/unstable or find some other repo.
