recompile the kernel with policy match

hi

knows someone howto recompile the kernel with policy match under sarge stable ?
I get form the shorewall following error:
Code:

Error: Your kernel and/or iptables does not support policy match: ipsec:
Code:
~# uname -a Linux server.net 2.6.8-2-686 #1 Tue Aug 16 13:22:48 UTC 2005 i686 GNU/Linux
~# iptables -V iptables v1.2.11
~# shorewall version 2.2.3
howto check if this module was already compiled into the kernel ?
could I install it with apt-get instead of compile the kernel ?

greetings
cccc

It's a kernel patch, you can not apply it without rebuilding the kernel, or wait until it gets accepted into the kernel.
