I can not logon to my FTP. . .

When I try to FTP to my server using smart FTP, it says
" Socket connected waiting for login sequence.
Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)..."

I am using vsftpd for the FTP software. Is there soemthing that needs to be configured to allow users to logon?

Thanks you in advance

vsftpd needs to be enabled in /etc/inetd.conf.

After that, you should do:
Code:
/etc/init.d/inetd restart
Also, for security resons you should always disable anonymous uploads. To do that, look at /etc/vsftpd.conf.
