HPLIP network printer on a debian lenny system

I just installed HPLIP using Synaptic package manager. One of the configure parameters (shown by 'hp-check -r') is
Code:
network-build=no
Am I correct in assuming that this means that a network printer will not work? Is there a way to override this while still using synaptic package manager? Would I then be able to use a network printer?

I have my eye on the HP photosmart plus B209A - and it looks like HPLIP supports it (there is a ppd file for it).

Thanks, Gary

HPLIP works with cups, and cups networks the printer. I have no idea what that configure parameter is all about. It's hard to tell without some context. If you print with cups, it should find any networkable printers. You might need to install a print driver on each machine.

If you want to custom configure the package hplip, use apt-get source hplip to get the source package. Dpkg will unpack the source files to your user's home directory, probably, or /root.
