HOWTO:Patching new ALSA sources into kernel source for new sound cards detection?
Hi
I HAVE got this 915G board with Azalia card-on-board in Debian.i got alsa sources in /usr/src/modules/alsa.. and new kernel source .snd-azx is not yet into kernel source module list.SO How can i patch with this ALSA source?
You can compile the alsa source packages normally without the kernel. Then you can load the loose module later. You don't need to do anything specific to or with the kernel. Just compiling the driver package (I think possibly the main source thing) does the trick.
