Smile howto get gnome version upgrade only


Hi,

I have debain Linux 4.0 r0 _Etch (stable) installed with gnome version 2.14.3. now i just wanted to upgrade the gnome latest (stable) version upgrade the "apt-get dist-upgrade" has no effect so far. my source.list file is as under;

First, you can remove the line referring to Sarge, you don't need that anymore. The latest versions of packages available is in Sid, but that's named Unstable and for a reason... It's not recommended to use Sid if you don't know what you're doing. Your options are: a) upgrade to Lenny (the current Testing) but you don't get the latest release of Gnome or b) wait until this particular release trickles down into Stable, which will take a while.
