how would I go about changing the name?

I installed the net install at school on a machine that's drive will be mirrored onto the rest of the nodes on my cluster. I'd like each node to have a seperate name, so I was wondering how would I go about changing the name on the seperate nodes? Do I just change the name in /etc/hostname?

Check:

man hostname
/etc/hosts

and every conf file where <to_be_unique_machine_name> is mentioned.

yeah, that's what I'm asking, is there a simple way to change all the hostnames in all the conf files, or do I have to edit them individually? Will changing it in /etc/hostname work?
