how to switch to virtual console when using xfce?

Hello all,

XFCE4 doesn't seem to respect the default CTRL-ALT-F1, etc combos to switch to the virtual consoles. How do I force xfce to operate in the proper way, or how do i conform to xfce's mechanism for this? Thanks.

Peace.

I'm using XFCE 4.2 under Slackware right now, but I can get a console via "Ctrl-Alt-F6" and I can return to the GUI via "Ctrl-Alt-F7"...

add to /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
in the section Server Flags this

Option "HandleSpecialKeys" "always"

thanks, that worked perfectly.

the section happens to be "ServerLayout" on a Debian system where that option should be placed...for those who happen to care...
